Hello Members,
I have a high end pc build with CPU i7 13 gen and gpu a 3090(GPU fans are downwards). My case is thunder dazzler. It has:

- 3 bottom fans
- 3 side fans
- 1 rear fan
- 3 top radiator fans

I want suggestions on fans configuration, by that I mean which fans should be intake and exhaust for maximum cooling and efficiency.
Thanks.

I have an old box that has just been collecting dust for years. Below are the current specs. Would I benefit from upgrading the graphics card with something newer? If so, what model would be top choice? I'd like something that doesn't run too hot.
- Asus Sabertooth Z77 MB
- i7-3770K
- 32GB RAM
- MSI GTX 1060 3GB
I know it's an old, outdated box... Just trying to max it out with a better, used card if it would be of any benefit :)

Hi, I'm new here and am just building my first gaming pc. Currently on PS5. I've heard mixed opinions of course, but I wanted to know if its best to plug your PC directly into the wall outlet, or to a good surge protector. I've heard both. Also, has anyone ever done or heard of someone bringing more power to the circuit they're running their PC on? I had an electrician (that also games on PC) tell me that I may want to run higher wattage cable/wire to my gaming room. I'm building a PC that shows it will pull about 695 watts. I have a 1000 watt power supply and my GPU recommends a 850 watt. I've read most standard wall outlets give about 1500 to 1800 watts. Do you think I'll be ok just leaving that circuit as is, or should I add more power? Also, surge protector or no? I appreciate any input or advice.

Thanks in advance.

ประกาศซื้อขายทั่วไป / RTX4090 Laptop

Hey there, i am looking for a new laptop for gaming - my current one (1060, 7th gen Intel) is getting old and since i am not spending for new laptop every year, i want to invest into a high end one and hope it will last me for 5+ years. My question is, what is the expected lifetime of a laptop with 4090 and i9-13980hx? Could i expect it to be able to run games for next 5 years at least? By run i mean on a decent fps and latest titles..
Thanks!

Just built my new PC (previous one I built in 2011), so I just went from a i7-980 with a gtx 780 ti 3GB, and a OCZ Vertex 3 120GB ssd, to now, a i7-13700k, a rtx 4070 ti, with a Samsung 980 Pro 2TB. To call it a major upgrade is an understatement.

Anyway, now that I have my new PC, what should I do with my entire old build? Is it best to recycle it, how would I even go about it? I mean whole thing still works, is still usable, donate it to a school? My wife can't stand what she sees as unnecessary junk in the house so I was hoping to get some ideas.

Trying to build a new PC but struggling to decide on graphic card vs monitor balance. Right now the graphic card I would get is the Gigabyte RTX4070 TI Eagle OC 12G but I don't know if it can stand a top performance game in a 4k monitor of 144+ hz. Should I upgrade the graphic card to a 4080? Should I just go for a QHD/WQHD monitor instead?

Hello,

I just bought my system 3 months ago from a website that provides well built gaming pcs.

What i am playing is simple games like, CS Fifa LOL, but lately i realised that i was getting low FPS on games and i was getting FPS drops. And its getting worst after some minutes, so i wanted to check if temperature is ok but its always ok. its arround 60-40 degrees. its not only about gaming, when i search in google i feel that it got slower.

I decided to format my OS and download new one and install it, well i did it but my pc is still slow.

I changed the electric socket already, i dont know what option i can do expect going to pc service, can you please help me guys ? i dont want to spend time and money on service i am student please give me ideas so i can fix it by myself :/.

I see there are a few stickies for this forum but obviously things have moved on and so the stickies not so relevant.
I have just made the move to the quest 2 and I am wondering how to get the best out of it.
I have been doing a little research but most of the stuff on the net is false.
One thing I do not understand is slow downs. When you think all the PC has to do is generate 2 images and put them into the oculus then why the slow down. When gaming on my pc same games there is no slow down.
Great credit to hell blade and senuas sacrifice. Astonishing VR experience and well optimised for the task.
So, whats the rub?
Ty lads. :)

This is more of a poll. I apply thermal paste in the pea form. How do you apply it?

I sort of asked this before, but there was no apparent definitive answer so wanted to try again and see what any fresh minds have.

In short, C-states on, you get the full resting range of Mhz and it maximises to 5.2Ghz (11900) but it gives that dreadful coil whine, which sounds like a sparkling drink in a glass. It's really off putting.

C-States off complete silence but the CPU only maxes at 4.7GHz.

So, obviously I want the 5.2, but aside outright overclocking, is there a way to turn c-states on but not have that irritating coil whine?

AORUS Elite Z590 AX btw.

Thanks!

Hi all.

Does anyone of you know a list of TLDs for internal networks?

I know the following TLDs for home / internal usage:
.lan
.test
.internal
.local (can cause problems I heard)

Hello Gurus,

It's been a while. I've been raising Tarantulas and riding motorcycles! So I'm still running a corei7 920 @4ghz and a PCIe v2.0 x16 (5.0 GT/s) @ x8 (2.5 GT/s) card.

So, in principle, could I put in a 4060 Ti or something similar? เว็บบาคาร่าถูกกฎหมาย I know it will bottleneck, so I'll test it and then possibly rebuild....

But my major concern is if it will work. I assumed it would, but with less performance from CPU grunt and PCI speed.

p.s. Thank you, and I'm at 1440p.

So, I have an 8400e system on which I just reinstalled Windows 10 from scratch but chose to stop using it. how big of a problem would it be if I just put the SSD in my i7 920 system? If Windows starts up, will that mess up the activation? สล็อตโมบายจ่ายจริง

As I had planned to just take the SSD and PSU (this cosair 750w PSU, since the old one had died a long time ago) out of the 8400e system and put them in the i7 920. About the only difference between the i7 920 I used to have and the one I have now is that it has a different SSD and a different GPU. Other than that, everything else is the same. Both the 8400e and the i7 920 can just reinstall Windows 10 and work, but I want to put the SSD from the 8400e into the i7 920. The question is whether this will work or if I should just reinstall Windows 10 from scratch.

Hi guys,

Soon, we'll need a laptop for office/browsing and casual 1080p gaming. It should have an excellent screen and at least 4 hours of battery life for browsing/emails/office.

Laptops I tested:
Asus TUF DASH FX517 (i5-12450H / 15,6" / 16GB DDR5, 3050 Ti 4GB (75W)
Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45 (R5-5600H / 15,6" / 16GB DDR4, 3060 6GB (100W?)

The Nitro features a better GPU and VRAM but a smaller battery (57Wh) than the Asus (76Wh). Not sure how much the GPU matters at 1080p and how much battery Wh matters for daily use?

Are the iGPU and dGPU activated in desktop and 3D modes, respectively? How's that?

Another option is a laptop with an RTX4050 (for DLSS3), but they have even lower TDP (45W for the MSI ones) so I'm not sure whether it's a smart idea.
