We need to replace the glass gas cooktop as the glass was broken when we moved in. A service man came out today and measured the opening and checked things out.
The current opening is smaller than all the cooktops listed at Lowes by 1/8 to 1/2 in in both width and length. Counter tops are granite. Can the granite counters be cut safely installed? This worries me. Do I need to worry?
Existing appliance are Frigidaire Gallery. Frigidaire has something called a fit promise where a new product should fit where an existing one did. (Just reread the details-only for electric) I'm confused how this opening is now too small to hold a cooktop. Does it potentially not need as large a space as listed in specs? Serviceman mentioned that.
