In the past, most people understood that all bacteria were to blame and can cause diseases. There are actually many pathogenic bacteria, such as listeria, Clostridium, and Salmonella, which are very common. However, there are also a number of “good” bacteria that may improve the health of our consumers. The majority of beneficial bacteria are lactic acid-producing bacteria, including lactobacillus (lactobacillus) and bifidobacterium (Bifidobacterium).
